Gewurztraminer « Westhoffen »

Farming type

Biodynamic certificated.

Terroir

Planted on a South-facing gentle slope of red marls, allowing a slow and optimal ripeness of the grape yet keeping its freshness.

Winemaking

Manuel harvest. Works only with indigenous yeasts. The fermentation lasted all winter with bottling in May.

Tasting

Son of the Sun!
Golden dress, shiny, with many tears. Nose of candied orange, acacia honey and very ripe and fresh verbena. In the mouth, the attack is fleshy, voluptuous and powerful finish on the fruit in the core. The balance of this Gewurztraminer is very tasty.

Food pairing

Food pairing

I love to highlight on a spicy kitchen. A stew of langoustines with turmeric, spring rolls of shrimp with ginger, wasabi scampi sushi. Closer to home, a farmer munster.
